Ms. Mary Louise Carver Adams, age 76, of Douglas, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 31, 2017, at Shady Acres Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. Ms. Adams was born December 27, 1940 to the late Allen Carver and the late Maude Harrell Carver. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Adams.

Mrs. Adams, a native of Atkinson County, worked on the farm during her childhood days and later worked as a personal care giver. Mrs. Adams was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include: Son Thomas B. Adams, Jr. of Douglas; brother Rev. Alton Carver of West Green; sister Christine Jordan of Waycross; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The graveside service and interment were held Friday, June 2, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. at Harrell Grove Church Cemetery with Rev. Alton Carver officiating. A closing prayer was given by Rev. Clint Ledford.

Active pallbearers were: Jordan Barber, Jerry Carver, Aaron Ledford, David Jump, T. C. Griffin and Jeff Anderson.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
