A woman booked into the Coffee County Jail early Saturday morning is facing drug trafficking charges after Coffee County jail officers discovered she was concealing ¼ lb. of cocaine and 25 ecstasy tablets in her wig.

Delenea Camille Jones was arrested around 4 a.m. Saturday on drug possession and distribution charges by a law enforcement agency in an adjoining county and transported to the Coffee County Jail for housing.

While being booked, jail officers searched Jones and asked her to remove her wig. Jones refused officers’ orders and became irate. When officers removed the wig, several bags of a white, powdery substance and other bags of colorful tablets fell to the ground. Further investigation by the Douglas – Coffee Drug Unit determined the drugs to be cocaine and ecstasy.

Along with her initial charges, Jones has been charged in Coffee County with trafficking cocaine and possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute in relation to the incident.
