Archie Hodge, Jr., age 89, of Pearson, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Manor House following an extended illness. Mr. Hodge was born on October 7, 1927, in Wayne County, Ga. to the late Archie Hodge, Sr. and Ida Virginia Turner Hodge.

Survivors include: his son, Jimmy (Lisa) Hodge of Douglas, Ga.; daughter, Vickie (Mark) Spivey of Pearson, Ga.; sister, Eunive Pittman of Youngstown, Fl.; grandchildren: Jessica Leigh Hodge Woodward, Dustin Hodge Walker, and Shaun David Walker; great-grandchildren: Lily Grace Woodward, Lincoln Hodge Walker, and Tessa Leigh Walker; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral service was held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11a.m. at Mora Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Fussell, Rev. Dennis Harper, and Rev. Jerry Chancey officiating. Interment followed at Arna Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
