Barbara “Rae” Adams, age 80, of Douglas, Ga. passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Adams was born on August 13, 1936, in Montezuma, Ga. to the late Charles Raymond Jackson and Robbie Welch Jackson.
Survivors include: her husband, Orson Adams of Douglas, Ga.; sons: Ralph Gerald Arnold and Guerry Randolph (Tonya) Arnold both of Douglas, Ga.; daughter, Karla Adams of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law, Monica Watson of Broxton, Ga.; grandchildren: Shannon (Lee) Roberts of Douglas, Ga., Alisa Arnold of Broxton, Ga., and Allie Adams of West Green, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Ben Roberts, Jackson Roberts, and Delta Sixtos; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sons: Gregory Randal Arnold and Donald Adams; a brother, Claude Jackson; and a sister, Joanne Spillers.
Funeral service was be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Elder John LeGrand “Lee” Roberts and Elder Ovid O’Neal officiating. Interment followed at Carver Baptist Church Cemetery.
