The fall 2017 semester is quickly approaching, and South Georgia State College is gearing up for an exciting academic year. Classes begin Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Douglas and Waycross Campuses and at the Entry Programs in Valdosta and Americus. Time is quickly running out; now is the time to complete the application process if you haven’t already done so.

Students who have already registered for classes will need to make payment arrangements before the deadline of Thursday, August 3 at 5 p.m. for all locations. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov to determine if they qualify for financial aid. The Nelnet payment plan is available for everyone with easy online enrollment and flexible payment options. To learn more about the Nelnet program, visit mycollegepaymentplan.com/sgsc. Students are encouraged to make payment arrangements as soon as possible to avoid losing their scheduled classes.

If a student is attending SGSC but has not yet registered for classes, he/she may sign up for Student Orientation Advisement and Registration (SOAR) to get a schedule in place for fall semester. Payment will be expected by the August 3 payment deadline or at the time of registration if occurring after the August 3 deadline. The on-site registration and SOAR dates are as follows: Douglas – Tuesday, August 1, Waycross – Wednesday, August 2, Valdosta – Thursday, August 3, and Americus – Wednesday, August 9.

Students who are interested in attending SGSC this fall but have not applied for admission should call today! Contact the Office of Admissions at (912) 260-4206 or email admissions@sgsc.edu.
