Ms. Terressia Lynn Merritt McKinnon, age 60, of Denton, GA passed away Tuesday evening, July 11, 2017, at Bacon County Hospital in Alma, GA following a short illness. She was born August 22, 1956 to the late Marie Simmons Merritt. Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Merritt.

Ms. McKinnon, a native of Coco Beach, FL, was a mother and a homemaker. She was a member of Deberry Baptist Church.

Survivors include: special friend: Gregg Perry of Denton, GA; daughter: Michelle (Dennis) Yauger of Tampa, FL; son: Andy McKinnon of Denton, GA; brothers: John Merritt of Douglas, GA and Craig Merritt of Ambrose, GA; sister: Barbara Merritt of Ambrose, GA; granddaughters: Andria McKinnon and Haley McKinnon both of Hazlehurst, GA and Kenley McKinnon of Denton, GA; grandson: Dalton Yauger of Tampa, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Harper officiating. The interment followed in the New Hope Cemetery near Ambrose.
