South Georgia State College begins its fall semester on August 14. On-campus housing is still available for students who will be attending the Douglas Campus, and interested students should contact the Office of Residence Life and Housing as soon as possible.

SGSC’s residence halls are state-of-the-art facilities without the worries of monthly bills, daily commutes, or security concerns. The suite-style housing includes a private bedroom, semi-private bathroom, cable television service, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and designated study rooms.
Your first step to living on campus is to complete a Residence Hall Application found at www.sgsc.edu and pay the applicable housing application fees. Students can then use their financial aid, if available, to pay housing costs and the required meal plan for all residential students. All SGSC fees must be paid in full before a student may move into the residence hall. This includes all tuition and fees, housing and meal plan charges, and housing application fees.

Each room is furnished with a bed, dresser, student desk, and nightstand, but students should bring extra items on move-in day. Suggested items include a computer, television, linens, toiletry items, basic cleaning supplies and personal belongings to make your room feel like a home away from home.

Living on campus has its advantages! Be able to walk across campus to class, eat your meals in the dining hall, and benefit from a complete college experience.

Contact SGSC today to see how you can become part of the campus community. For more information on living on campus, students should contact the Office of Residence Life and Housing at 912.260.4429 or by email at housing@sgsc.edu.
