Mr. Richard C. Martin, age 75, of Nicholls, GA passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Martin was born January 6, 1942 to the late Troy Martin and the late Jennie Ellen Wilcox Martin. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosa Lee Dubose and a brother, Thurman Martin.

Mr. Martin, a native of Chattanooga, TN, had worked for more than 50 years as a self-employed electrical technician. His most recent employment had been with PCC and Golden Poultry before he retired.

Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Rose Ann Letchworth Martin of Nicholls, GA; sons: Richard Troy Martin of Valdosta, GA and James Donald (Alisha) Martin of Nicholls, GA; daughter: Leann Elizabeth (Charles) Griffiths of Willacoochee, GA; brothers: Lafaun Martin of Tampa, FL and Marvin Martin of Plant City, FL; grandchildren: David (Juleah) Martin, Courtney Martin (Brandon) Griffin, Alex Martin, James Sprinkle, Brianna Busby (Josh) Coleman, Cole Busby, Sara Busby, Matthew Martin, Faith Martin, Samantha Martin and Taylor Martin; great-grandchildren: Jayce Martin and Autumn Martin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. J. A. Anderson officiating. The interment followed at Roxie Mae Cemetery in the Wilsonville Community.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
