Mrs. Winnie Agnes Wooten Smith, age 89, of Broxton, GA passed away Thursday afternoon, July 27, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Smith was born July 27, 1928 to the late Charlie Wooten and the late Dora Lillian Cliett Wooten. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Lonnie Smith, Sr. and her daughter, Marilyn Smith Wooten.

Mrs. Smith, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker. She loved her family and she also enjoyed cooking for her family, her church family and friends. Mrs. Smith was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her children: Imogene Stevens, Charles Lewis Smith, Sherry Stone, Carolyn Smith and Melinda McSwain all of Broxton, GA, Lonnie “Knocker” Smith, Jr. of Wray, GA, Dorene Parker of Leesburg, GA, Addie Kitchings of Bristol, GA and Christopher Pogue of Palatka, FL; sister, Dora Pearl Warnock of Broxton, GA; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held Saturday morning, July 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Kirkland and Rev. Allen Peacock officiating. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Church/Byrd Cemetery, in Jeff Davis County.

Active Pallbearers were: Anthony Trowell, Lonnie Smith, Charles Smith, Timothy Wooten, Treston Pogue, Marty Stone, Justin Stone and Daniel Smith.

Special Musical Selections, “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, was presented by the Soloist Marlon Smith, with Taped Music and “Phone In Heaven”, was presented by CD Music.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
