Mr. Carlos Burch, age 70, of Douglas, GA passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 20, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. following an extended illness. Mr. Burch was born on August 12, 1947 to the late Willie Burch, Sr. and the late Odessa Carter Burch.

Mr. Burch was a native of Coffee County. He had been employed with Hercules as a heavy equipment operator and also by Pilgrim’s Pride as a truck driver .

He was a member of Jowers Chapel Holiness Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Esther Spivey Burch of Douglas, GA; daughter, Hope (Jay) Kreingbring of Indiana; grandchildren: Elizabeth Kreingbring, Joshua Kreingbring, John Michael Kreingbring and Hannah Kreingbring all of Indiana; brothers: Willie Burch, Jr.,

Troy Burch and Roy Burch all of West Green, GA, Billy Carroll Burch of Douglas, GA, Robert Burch of Nicholls, GA; sisters: Wilma Lee Adams of Douglas, GA, Betty Jean Coleman of West Green, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Jowers Chapel Holiness Baptist Church where Rev. Howard Holt and Rev. Tim Mock officiated. The interment followed in Tanner Cemetery.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
