In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to support our Cardinal childhood cancer survivors, Indian Creek Elementary had a special program on Friday afternoon, Sept 22. Our Cardinal family has been touched by the ugly face of Childhood Cancer, but through the goodness of God and the spirit of a fighter within them, Ashton Morgan and Braydon Boone have triumphed over this dreaded disease. Celebrating life with us was the Coffee High Show Choir under the direction of Mrs. Tania Myers, the Coffee High Cheerleaders, lead by Mrs. Patty Horner, Coffee High Football player, Hayden Skipper and the strong and supportive families of our survivors. Also, many thanks to Mrs. Patty Horner and Mrs. Jessica Baker for producing a video tribute honoring Ashton and Braydon, and to Mrs. Tammy Bennett and Mrs. Mendi Skipper for organizing this event. Our hats are off to both of these boys for being so brave and facing cancer head on. They have shown us all what it means to be a real super hero. From all of the Cardinal staff and students at ICE, “We love you, Ashton and Braydon!”
