Cub Scout Pack 859, chartered by Aldersgate Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church in Douglas, Ga participated in Cub Family Weekend at Camp Patten in Lakeland, Ga. The Avengers themed camping weekend, organized by the South Georgia Council, was filled with different types of adventures, including, campfires, obstacle courses, archery, BB gun target practice, chapel and many more.  Twelve scouts from Pack 859 and their families participated along with 350 additional scouts from throughout South Georgia.  This is the first of three camp outs scheduled for the 2017-18 school year.   

Cub Scouts is a year-round family and home centered program that develops ethical decision making skills for boys in the first through fifth grade. Activities emphasize character development, citizenship training and personal fitness. Boys who are interested can join at any time throughout the year.
