Larry Homer Merritt, age 70, of Milledgeville, GA passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Georgia War Veterans Home. Mr. Merritt was born on May 3, 1947, in Douglas, Georgia to the late Homer Merritt and Lota Harrell Merritt.
He is survived by: his daughters: Amanda and her husband Matthew Wornstaff of Zebulon, Ga., Jessica and her husband James Askew, Jr., of Newnan, Ga.; sister, Linda and husband Donald McKinnon of Beaumont, TX.; brother, Jerry and wife Marie Merritt of Brooksville, Fla.; grandchildren: Abigail (Danilo) Ribeiro, Daniel Wornstaff, Hattie Graves, Adeline Askew; great-grandchild, Liam Ribeiro.
The graveside service was held on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Rocky Pond Baptist Church Cemetery where Rev. Bobby Fussell officiated. Interment followed at the Rocky Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arragements.
