Mrs. Lillie Mae Harrell Carver, age 87, of Douglas, GA passed away late Friday night, November 10, 2017 at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Carver, a native of Coffee County, was born July 24, 1930 to the late Leroy Harrell and the late Lois Crider Harrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Maxon Carver; children: Lois Irene Wickham, Davey Carver and Gloria Davis; sisters: Nadine Chaney and LaVera Chaney; brothers: John Carroll Harrell, Vernon Harrell and Glynlon Harrell.
Mrs. Carver, was a retired Beautician, having worked for over 50 years in her profession. Mrs. Carver was a member of Glendale Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL.
Survivors include: grandchildren: David Wickham, Daniel Wickham, Michael Carver, Kristy Carver and Al Davis and his Wife, Kelley all of Jacksonville, FL, and Rosa Carver of Miami, FL; several great grandchildren; sister, Othalyne Bowen of Douglas, GA; daughter-in-law, Olga Carver of Jacksonville, FL; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The Graveside Service and Interment were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Satilla Memorial Gardens where Rev. Marshall Adcock officiated.
Active Pallbearers were: Jim Harrell, Kyle Carver, James Roy Bowen, Jeff Anderson, Kevin Gillespie and Cole Jones.
Special Musical Selections, “Amazing Grace”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Meet You In the Morning” were all presented by CD Music.
Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
