Mr. Carroll Martin Courson, age 71, of West Green, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at CRMC. Mr. Courson was born on August 14, 1947 to the late Rev. Martin Courson and Malonee Wood Courson.

Survivors include: sisters: Jacquelyn and her husband Touchton Tarrance of Douglas, GA. and Bonnie and her husband Ray Jowers of Broxton, GA.; brother, Earl and his wife Brenda Courson of Adel, GA.; nieces: Donna and her husband Bruce Deen of West Green, GA. and Renee and her husband Kelvin Morris of Callahan, FL; a special niece, Hannah Deen of West Green, GA.; nephews: Rusty and his wife Jennifer Lee of Jacksonville, FL., Rodney Lee of Jacksonville, FL., and Jeffery and his wife April Jowers of Tifton, GA.; great nephew, Clayton Jowers of Tifton, GA., and great niece Caitlyn Jowers of Tifton, GA.; two special friends: William Thompson and Wesley Kight both of West Green, GA. He was preceded in death by: father, Rev. Martin Courson; mother, Malonee Wood Courson; sister, Geneva Lee; and nephew, David Tarrance.

Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery where Rev. Hugh Anderson, Rev. Olin Greer and Rev. Justin Moriarty officiated. Interment followed at Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangments.
