Mrs. Ruby Vickers Vickers, age 102, of Ambrose, GA passed away early Sunday morning, December 10, 2017 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Vickers was born July 1, 1915 to the late William Henry Vickers and the late Mollie McClelland Vickers.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ira Vickers; her children: Sherley Vickers and Wylene Rhodes; and siblings: Agnes Mills, Rebecca Bryant, Mattie Chelly Bryant, Willie Vickers, Mable Pope, Harvey Henry Vickers, Elisha Vickers, and Mary Evelyn Ayers.

Mrs. Vickers, a native of Coffee County, GA was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and she was also a member of Red Hat Society.

Survivors include: daughter-in-law, Aundria Vickers of Ambrose, GA; grandchildren: Bernard Vickers and his wife Kay of Ambrose, GA, Ira Sue Harrell and her husband Tony of Pearson, GA, Annrea Disharoon and her husband Joe of Fayetteville, GA, Dewayne Harper and his wife Ginny of Leesburg, GA, Dewight Harper and his wife Marsha of Albany, GA; great grandchildren: Tiffany Bookout and her husband Lee, Nicholas Vickers and his wife Jerren;, Michael Harrell and his wife Holly all of Ambrose, GA, Lee Evans and his wife Alyssa of Nicholls, GA, Trell Walker and her husband Ron of Douglas, GA, Nicole Disharoon and Drew Disharoon both of Fayetteville, GA, Ricky Harper and his wife Brooke of Americus, GA, Dewayne Harper and his wife Alli of Macon, GA, Christopher Harper and his wife Stephanie and Jody Harper and his wife April all of Albany, GA; numerous great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017, at 11 a..m at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. L. G. Aldridge officiated. The interment followed in Purvis Cemetery where Rev. Michael Harper conducted the committal service.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
