Mrs. Virginia H. Cooper, age 73, of Broxton, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Cooper was born on April 22, 1944, in Broxton, GA. to the late Richard Virginia Hester and Beulah Frances Stewart Hester.

Survivors include: daughter, Tammy and her husband Brian Phillips of West Green, GA.; son, Tommy Cooper, Jr. of Broxton, GA. Mason and his wife Shannon Burkett of Fitzgerald, GA; sister, Jenelda Thornton of McDonough, GA.; brothers: Jesse Hester of Stockbridge, GA., Billy Hester of San Antonia, TX.; grandchildren: Cody and wife Whitney Phillips of Broxton, GA. and Colby and wife Marissa Phillips of Valdosta, GA, Anna Burkett, Jacob Burkett both of Fitzgerald, GA.; great-grandchild, Cooper Cage Phillips of Broxton, GA.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Tommy Leon Cooper, Sr.; father, Richard Hester; mother, Beulah Frances Stewart Hester; and sister, Voncile Tanner.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home where Rev. Kevin Bounds officiated.

Interment followed at Harrell Family Cemetery.
