The yearly bowling party for the youth of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Home in Hahira was held Sunday, Dec.17, 2017,  at the Rockin’ Roll Bowlin’ center in Douglas.

Thirty-four youth and adults from the home enjoyed the event which was sponsored by the Douglas Kiwanis Club.  Members of the Citizens Christian Academy Key Club helped the Kiwanis Club members run the party and provided some of the desserts. Free bowling and shoes were provided by Rockin’ Roll Bowlin’ while a meal and desserts were provided by the Kiwanis Club.

Donations from Kiwanis Club members and the Citizens Christian Academy Key Club provided Christmas gift cards for all of the youth.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, and the youth and adults from the Youth Home greatly appreciated the event.  Thanks to all those who helped and donated to the event.  A special thanks to Sheriff Doyle Wooten for not only providing funds for the youth home but also assisting with the cost of the bowling party itself.  Also a special thanks to the Rockin’ Roll Bowlin’ personnel who worked hard to make the event so successful.
