Mr. Harvey Bowen, age 62 of Douglas, GA, passed away Monday morning, December 18, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Bowen was born August 14, 1955, to the late Jim Bowen and Eva Merritt Bowen. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by: a grandchild, Rowdy Bowen; brother, Lewis Don Bowen; and 1 sister, Lucille Young.

Mr. Bowen, a native of Coffee County, was retired from Harris Graphics as a field trainer for newspaper conveyor systems and inserters. He was a member of Broxton Church of God.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Floyd Bowen of Douglas, GA; sons: Matt Bowen and Chris Bowen both of Russellville, AL, Tim Bowen and Matthew Bowen both of Douglas, GA; mother, Eva Merritt Bowen of Broxton, GA; brothers: Larry Bowen and his wife Carolyn of Jacksonville, GA, David Bowen and his wife Terry of Douglas, GA; sisters: Marilyn Roberson and her husband David of Ray City, GA, Glenda Haygood and her husband Michael of Broxton, GA ; grandchildren: Alexandria Bowen, Hayes Bowen and Ellie Bowen all of Douglas, GA, Sydni Lawlor of Lake Park, GA, Eva Bowen and Ryder Bowen both of Russellville, AL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Broxton Church of God where Rev. Carlton Ring and Rev. Milton Pate officiated. The interment followed in Broxton Church of God Cemetery.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
