Ms. Janette Geraldine Moore, age 88, of Douglas passed away early Monday morning, Jan. 8, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Moore was born Feb. 11, 1929 to the late James Youngie Day and the late Geanie Jowers Day. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Moore.
Survivors include: daughters: Cynthia Lyons of Augusta, GA and Tonya Duffie of Douglas, GA.; brother, J. Y. Day of Douglas, GA.; 2 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Graveside Services and Interment were held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery where Rev. Danny Ray officiated.
Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
