Mr. William Luke Pridgen, age 81, of Preston, GA passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, in Albany GA. Mr. Pridgen was born on September 22, 1936, in Pridgen, GA to the late Oscar Underwood Pridgen, Sr., and Ruth Hill Pridgen.

Mr. Pridgen was a retired farmer from Pridgen, GA. Mr. Pridgen also served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman at Fort Niagara in upstate New York. He also loved his nieces and nephew as his own children and was another father figure to them. They loved him more than words can say and he will be missed by them very much.

He is survived by: his sister, Jacquelyn Vickers of Douglas, GA; brother, Oscar and wife Jessie Pridgen of Statesboro, GA; nieces: Lenora Pridgen of Mt. Dora, FL, Pamela Smith of Douglas, GA, and Charlotte and husband Chris Spell of Statesboro, GA; nephews: Shane Pridgen of Pridgen, GA, William and wife Esther Vickers of Statesboro, GA and Wade Vickers of Willacoochee, GA.

His funeral service was held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Pridgen Baptist Church where Rev. George Carroll Paulk and Dr. Stephen P. Hart Sr., officiated.

Active Pallbearers were: Dickie Rish, Jim Deen, Darren Cliett Greg Batten, Briley Smith, Joshua Mallard, and Josh Russ. Honorary Pallbearers were: Charles McLean, Rudolph Thurman, Danny Ross, Dennis Wills, Greg Yates, Dwight Spell, Terry Thurman, Gene Arnett, Dean Arnett, John Measmer,John Meeks, J. M. Pridgen, John Futch and Sam Roberts. Interment to followed at the Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery.
