South Georgia State College (SGSC) will hold its second annual Homecoming on Feb. 8 – 10, 2018, with several campus and athletic events highlighting the week.

Festivities begin on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m with a Homecoming Mixer for faculty, staff and students in Peterson Hall. A late-night dance party will be held for students at 9 p.m. in Clower Hall. Other campus activities will include STEM Day, the Great T-Shirt Exchange and a Game Truck. A cookout for students will be held at the dining hall on Friday, Feb. 9 beginning at 11:30 am.

Athletics have always been a major part of the SGSC tradition, and it is due in part to our outstanding alumni. Come to campus on Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10 to catch up with friends and former coaches, enjoy refreshments with other alumni and cheer on some of our current teams.

The Hawks baseball team will have games at Crider Field on Friday with start times of 1 p.m.  and 3 p.m. The Lady Hawks softball team will have a full weekend of games at the Hawks Nest field with starting times of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. The Hawks basketball team will be traveling from the Waycross Campus to play in the Wellness Center gym at 4 p.m. on Saturday. All athletic events are free during Homecoming weekend.

Don’t forget about taking time to socialize with other alumni. On Friday, alumni refreshments will be served at 4:30 p.m. at the baseball field. On Saturday, join us for tailgating at the Wellness Center gym at 2:30 pm and drop by for more refreshments at halftime of the Hawks game in the Wellness Center classroom.

Events will be held on the Douglas Campus of South Georgia State College. All alumni and community members are invited to attend.
