Mrs. Doris Linda Merritt, age 69, of Douglas, Ga., passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, in Douglas Ga., Mrs. Merritt was born on November 12, 1948, in Broxton, Georgia to the late Lloyd Stokes and Effie Lou Page Stokes.
She is survived by: her daughters: Darlene and husband Tim Griffin of Douglas, Ga., and Alana and husband Steve Lott of Douglas, GA.; son, John and wife Shelley Dykes of Douglas, Ga.,; brother, Roy Wise of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Steve and wife Karan Lott, Amon and wife Jenny Griffin, Dalton and wife Megan Griffin, Ladawn and husband John Shealy.
Funeral Services were held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home where Rev. Hardy Crosby and Rev. Kenneth White officiated.
Interment followed at Chaney Cemetery.
