Being a lifelong learner is very important in any field but especially in the realm of education. The Coffee County Pre-K Teachers and Paraprofessionals know the importance of this as well as sharing successful skills and strategies with co-workers. Communication and collaboration is a key part of the Coffee County Pre-K Program. The group recently presented “in house training” sharing small group activities in the domains of Math, Science and Social Studies. Each Pre-K Teacher and Paraprofessional Team presented a skill to assist in teaching a state standard GELD in a subject domain. Best Practice teaching strategies were presented from each of the eight elementary schools within the county.

Mrs. Gail Floyd presented an excellent program to the Coffee County Pre-K Team on the importance of building and keep strong teamwork bonds among co-workers. Mrs. Floyd shared many strategies to implement for successful relationships while stressing one of the most important traits…Communication.

We appreciate all the Pre-K Teams from Ambrose, Broxton, Eastside, Indian Creek, Nicholls, Satilla, West Green and Westside taking time to prepare the presentations along with Mrs. Floyd. Valuable teaching activities and collaboration skills were shared and can now be utilized in the classrooms for re-delivery for the Pre-K students of Coffee County.

Reminder: Registration for 2018-2019 Coffee County Pre-K Program will take place March 13 for Ambrose, Indian Creek, Nicholls and Satilla and March 14 for Broxton, Eastside, West Green and Westside. Registration will be held at Coffee Middle School Auditorium, The following items are needed for your child’s Pre-K registration to be complete: Certified Birth Certificate, Immunization Form #3231, Eye, Ear, Dental and Nutrition Form #3300, Proof of Residence (cell phone bills are not considered proof) and if applicable Category 1 card (Medicaid).
