Clara Batchelor, age 83, of Helena, GA passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, Ocilla, GA. Ms. Batchelor was born on January 28, 1935, in McRae, Georgia to the late Daniel Lee Blizzard and Minnie Lee Hatten Blizzard.

She is survived by: her daughters: Charlene and husband Randy Roberts of Douglas, GA, Elizabeth and husband Pete Herndon of Moultrie, GA; sons: Michael and wife Teresa Batchelor of Dublin, GA, David and wife Donna Batchelor of Axson, GA; brothers: W. A. Blizzard of Dublin, GA, Robert Blizzard of McRae, GA, Dewey Blizzard of Milan, GA, Paul Blizzard of Lake Seminole, GA; grandchildren: Paul and wife Rachel Herndon, Collin Batchelor, Alainna Batchelor, Karen Roberts, Hannah Roberts; great-grandson, Max Herndon of Moultrie, GA.

She is preceded in death by: her mother, Minnie Lee Blizzard; father, Daniel Lee Blizzerd; sister, Mattie Kate Wyre; and brother, Daniel Blizzard.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 3 p.m.at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home where Rev. Mark Mercer officiated. Eulogy by Paul Herndon, music was performed by Courtney Darwin Callahan, “It Is Well with My Soul” and “Amazing Grace” by congregation.

Interment followed at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
