Mr. Ernest Christian Kitchens Jr., age 74, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in Douglas GA. Mr. Kitchens was born on February 8, 1944, in Douglas, Georgia to the late Ernest C. Kitchens, and Ruby Kitchens.
He is survived by: his wife, Lynne Kitchens; daughters: Laura and husband Andy Thomason of Douglas, GA, Allison Kitchens of Douglas, GA; sisters: Lawanda and husband John Pickett of Byron, GA, Katherine Key of Douglas, GA, Joan Bates of Douglas, GA and Glenda Jones of Hawkinsville, GA; grandchildren: Meagan Thomason, Caitlin Thomason, Kristen Thomason, Kylie and husband Glenn Leavens; great-grandchildren: Kinslee Leavens, Nick Whatley, Alex Whatley, Julia Whatley; daughter-in-law, Kathy Whatley of Woodbridge, VA. He is preceded in death by: his mother, Ruth Kitchens; father, Ernest Kitchens; and sister, Jean Russ.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Sand Hill Baptist Church where Rev. Ed Lycett, Rev. Stan Clough and Rev. Herbert Box officiated.
