Mr. Jeffrey Thomas Griggs, age 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Griggs was born on February 24, 1941 in Laindon Essex, England. He was the son of the late Frank Norman Griggs and Florence Lambert Griggs. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Norman Griggs.

He was a retired electrician with a Nuclear Power Plant and a veteran in the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

Survivors include: his wife, Carol Griggs of Douglas, GA; daughters: Debby Griggs of Savannah, GA and Susan Griggs of Denver, CO; son, Jim Griggs and wife Billie of Mundelein, IL; sister, Brenda Mahoney and husband Jack of Bay City, MI; step-sons: David Adair and wife Holly of Pataskala, Ohio and Scott Adair of St. Charles, IL; step-daughters: Linda Redman and husband Randy of Woodstock, IL., and Jennifer Adair and friend P.J. Jacksonville, FL; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Noon at Gracepointe Church where Rev. Chris Watson officiated.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
