Mrs. Mary Frances Adams Wood, age 74 of Douglas, GA passed away late Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at her residence following a short illness. Mrs. Wood was born October 23, 1943 to the late John Q. Adams and the late Virsie Cola Rowland Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her step-mother, Nell Ellis Adams; and siblings: Helen, Donald, Dorman, Rev. T. L., Thurston and Wanda.

Mrs. Wood, a native of Coffee County, was a retired registered nurse. She was a faithful member of Rocky Pond Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Truman Wood of Douglas, GA; children: Darren Joiner and his wife Lynn of Rockledge, FL, Jeffery Joiner and his wife Tammie of West Columbia, SC., Angie Joiner of Douglas, GA; siblings: Woodrow Adams of Hinesville, GA., Cleo Chaney, Kenny Adams and Randy Adams all of Douglas, GA., John Wendell Adams of Jonesboro, GA.; 12 grandchildren ; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018, at 11 A.M. at Rocky Pond Baptist Church where Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiated. The interment followed at Harrell Grove Cemetery.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
