Mrs. Sherry Lynn Burkett Chaney, age 57 of Nicholls, GA, passed away Saturday morning, March 3, 2018, at the home of her sister, Debra Clark of Douglas, following an extended illness. Mrs. Chaney was born October 6, 1960, to the late J. L. Burkett and the late Carolyn Butts Burkett. Mrs. Chaney was a homemaker.
Survivors include: her husband, Joey Swann of Douglas, GA; sons: Joseph Lee Francis of Nicholls, GA, John T. Nettles of Hartwell, GA; stepchildren and children she helped rear: Ana Davis and Leon Whitley of Nicholls, GA, Amber Cote, Malcolm Cope, Billy Hollinger and Shannon Davis of Broxton, GA, Jeremiah Tarlton of Willacoochee, GA, Nicole Sayer of Garfield, GA, Shonda Merritt and Joey Merritt both of Butler, GA, Ray Swann of West Green, GA; siblings: Stephen Smith of Tampa, FL, Debra Clark of Douglas, GA, Judy Robinson of Butler, GA, Tammy Meeks of Nicholls, GA, Cindi Bennett of Brunswick, GA
A memorial service for Ms. Chaney will be held at a later date.
