Mr. Danny Glynn Solomon, age 68, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on May 12, 1949 in Willacoochee, GA but grew up in Nashville, GA. He was the son of the late Sylvester Gresham Solomon, Sr. and Dora Adams Solomon. He was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, worked as a USDA inspector and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by: sisters: Odell Solomon and Ludell Solomon; brother, William Benajah Solomon; grandson, Matthew Clifton Solomon.
He is survived by: his wife, Teresa Fussell Solomon of Douglas; sons: Danny Glynn Solomon, II and wife LaTrice of Dudley, GA, Clifton Jerome Solomon and wife Becky of Nashville, GA and Andrew Wayne Solomon and wife Laura of Nashville, GA; daughters: Doralee Gowen and husband Mike of Douglas, GA and Cynthia Hood and husband Tad of Douglas, GA; brother, Sylvester Gresham Solomon, Jr. and wife Delaine of Nashville, GA; sister, Phyllis Ziemer and husband Paul of Davison, Michigan; sister-in-law, Janice Solomon of Nashville, GA; 23 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where President Andrew W. Solomon and Brother Trey Fussell officiated and Glynn Solomon gave the eulogy.
Interment followed in Cumorah Cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Clifton Solomon.
The pallbearers were Bill Solomon, Steve Solomon, Bruce Solomon, Steven Ziemer, Alex Fussell, Joah Fussell, Blake Fussell and Caleb Wright.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
