Charles S. Roberts Sr., age 79, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Vista Park. Mr. Roberts was born on December 7, 1938, in Douglas, GA to the late John W. Roberts and Floy Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a retired Deputy Sheriff working for the Nicholls Police Department, with Winn Dixie for many years and was a farmer. He was a member of Saving Grace Ministries.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Mathews Roberts; and four sisters: Ollie Cook, Lena Bennett, Faye Austin and Elizabeth Anisworth.
Survivors include: daughters: Marsha Cohen of Douglas, GA and Dessia Davis and husband Joey of Douglas, GA.; sons: Charles Roberts of Douglas, GA, John Roberts and wife Debbie of Douglas, GA, Austin Roberts of Douglas, GA, Matthew Roberts of Douglas, GA and Bobby Roberts of Douglas, GA; sisters: Barbara Eidam and husband Kan of Marietta, GA, Sue Haynes and husband Julian of Murrayville, GA.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 2 P.M. at the Saving Grace Ministries with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment to follow in Franklin Cemetery.
