Gerald Ray McCoy, age 72, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at CRMC. Mr. McCoy was born on February 21, 1946, in Etowah County, Alabama to the late Gartrell McCoy, Sr. and Jessie Beatrice McCoy.
Mr. McCoy was a self-employed commercial painter, a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: his wife, Connie McCoy of Douglas, GA.; daughters: Melva Long and Debra Goodard of Reece City, Alabama; sons: Rodney McCoy, Wayne McCoy and Johnnie McCoy of Reece City, Alabama; sister, Jo McCoy of Reece City, Alabama.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Alabama.
Memorialization is by cremation.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
