Eastside Elementary School is proud to announce Mrs. Laura Curtis as our 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Curtis was selected by her peers to receive this honor in recognition of her outstanding service to Eastside Elementary School and her profession. After completing her Early Childhood Education degree through Georgia Southwestern State University, she began her career at Eastside where she currently teaches first grade.
In commenting on her chosen career, Mrs. Curtis noted “Teaching is about the children. The children give me joy! When I look at my students, the possibilities of what they can do are endless. All I have to do is make them believe in themselves!” We are pleased to recognize this exemplary professional as Eastside’s Teacher of the Year. Congratulations, Mrs. Curtis!
