Mr. Ricky Purvis, age 54, of Douglas, GA passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at his residence following a brief illness. Mr. Purvis was born October 21, 1963 to the late Joe Bethel Purvis and Nellie Futch Purvis. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by: a sister, Teresa Ann Knight; and a brother, Anthony Purvis.
Mr. Purvis was employed with Affordable Heating and Air.
Survivors include: son, William Andrew Purvis of Marion County, FL; mother, Nellie Futch Purvis of Douglas, GA; brother, Dewey Purvis of Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service was held, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2 P.M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home where Rev. Gerald Gardner officiated. The inurnment will follow at a later date.
Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
