Mrs. Norma Jean Miller Pridgen, age 75, of the Pridgen Community, passed away early Friday morning, April 20, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Coffee County, Mrs. Pridgen was born April 23, 1942 to the late Walt Miller and the late Betty Harper Miller.

Mrs. Pridgen was a homemaker and she was also a member of God’s People Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, John M. “J. M.” Pridgen of the Pridgen Community; children: Marshall Pridgen and his wife Cindy, Jeffrey Pridgen and his wife Kathy and Derek Pridgen and his wife Janet all of the Pridgen Community; grandchildren: John, Austin, Kensley, Walt, Chas, Laura Ashlyn, Emily and Stephen; sister, Margie Harrison and her husband Walt of Woodland Hills, CA; brother, Emory Miller and his wife Ann of Fitzgerald, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Douglas where Rev. Milan Turner and Dr. Shep Johnson officiated. The interment followed in Pridgen Cemetery in the Pridgen Community.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
