Mr. George Edwin Stockwell, age 75, of Douglas passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Pruitt Health Center in Fitzgerald, following an extended illness. He was born October 9, 1942 to the late Edwin Timothy “Stock Tanner” Stockwell and the late Blanche Phillips Stockwell. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, James Robert “Bob” Stockwell.
Survivors include: children: Gina (Chris) Sullivan of Acworth, GA. Their Children – Merridith & Stock Sullivan ; Ashley & Greg Sullivan, all of Acworth, GA., Jill (Russ) Ledbetter of Acworth, GA. Their Children – Nicholas Ledbetter and Erin Ledbetter, all of Acworth, GA., Regan (Drew) Tanner of Douglas, GA Their Children – Collier & Adalyn Guess Andrew Tanner, Michael Tanner and Hollis Tanner, all of Douglas, GA.; former wife, Jackie Stockwell of Douglas, GA.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018, at 11 A. M.,
at Stokesville Baptist Church. The Interment followed in the Stokesville Cemetery.
Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
