Mr. Jerry Franklin Burkett, age 82, of Forsyth, GA, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, following an extended illness. He was born November 18, 1935, to the late Jules Burkett and the late Virginia Dorminey Burkett. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Emma Kaye Ludlam; and 1 brother, Chet Burkett.

Mr. Burkett, a native of Coffee County, was a Sales Manager for Jackson Automotive where he had worked almost 40 years. He was a member of the Army National Guard for 7 years.

Survivors include: his wife, Caren Conley Burkett of Forsyth, GA.; sons: Lee (Patty) Burkett of St. Augustine, FL., David (Barbara) Burkett and Roger (Debra) Burkett, all of Stockbridge, GA.; step-children: Melissa Smith, Amanda Blanton, Penny DuPree and Jeff Brantley, all of Jennings, FL.; siblings: Reba Renee Hulett and Wallace Burkett, both of Macon, GA,
Debbie Burkett and Dale Burkett, both of Douglas, GA.; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 2 P.M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. The Entombment will follow at a later date.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
