Robert “Bob” Davison, age 77, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday May 10, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. Mr. Davison was born on July 21, 1940 in Tifton, Georgia the son of the late Vernon Thomas Davison and Jane Simmons Davison.
He was a self-employed bricklayer, a member of the First Baptist Church, worked with the Coffee County Sheriff’s office and was a veteran in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include: his wife, Sunni June Davison of Douglas, GA; sons: Dave Davison of Morristown, TN and Dean Davison and wife Heather of Elizabethtown, TN; daughter, Dea Davison of Douglas, GA; grandchildren: Cayden Davison, Cami Davison and Carter Davison all of Elizabethtown, TN; god-daughter, Rae Ann Strickland; sister, Janice Kennedy of Albany, GA.
Funeral services were held on be Monday May 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church where Rev. Shep Johnson officiated. Interment followed at Oakridge Cemetery, Tifton, GA.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
