Jerry Davis, age 70, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Monday May 28, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Jacksonville, FL following an brief illness. Mr. Davis was born on October 30, 1947 in Coffee County, GA the son of the late John Hiram Davis and Anita Cothern Davis.
Mr. Davis worked as a truck driver for Elixir Industries and was a member of Bushnell Chapel, Douglas, GA.
He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Gloria Durden Davis.
Survivors include: his wife, Joy Kent Davis of Ambrose, GA; son, John Edwin Davis and wife Laura of Waycross, GA; grandchildren: Matthew Lawton Davis of Waycross, GA and Mary Rylie Davis of Waycross, GA; brothers: Terrell Davis of Douglas, GA and Michael Davis of Douglas, GA.
Funeral services were held on Thursday May 31, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Bushnell Chapel where Rev. Gerald Gardner and Rev. Joe Vaughn officiated. Interment followed at New Hope Church Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
