Myrtle Knight McLeod, age 80, of Hawkinsville, GA passed away on Saturday May 26, 2018 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home, Hawkinsville, GA. Mrs. McLeod was born on November 9, 1937 in Broxton, GA the daughter to the late James Monroe Knight and Mary Ella Wooten Knight.

She retired from Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Macon, GA. and was a member of Lizella Baptist Church.

Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by: sons: Clifford Marion McLeod and Kirby Craig McLeod; sister, Allie Knight Floyd; and brothers: Jessie Monroe (J.M.) Knight, John Henry (J.H.) Knight and Joel Clinton (J.C.) Knight.

Survivors include: her husband of 61 years, Terry Lamar McLeod of Hawkinsville, GA; son, Terry Dale McLeod and wife Robin of Hawkinsville, GA; sister, Laura Knight Vaughn and husband Frank of Douglas, GA; granddaughters: Brittani McLeod Grinstead and husband Justin and Mellisa Kaylyn Mcleod; great grandchildren: Harper Wayne Grinstead and Henry William Grinstead; sister-in-law, Tempa Knight; multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel where Rev. Allen Peacock and Rev. Blake Westbrook officiated. Interment followed at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery, Broxton, GA.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
