Mr. Joel Dewayne Nipper, age 64 of Nicholls, GA passed away early Wednesday morning, June 6, 2018, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Nipper was born October 3, 1953, to the late Jesse Nipper and the late Oleph Kirkland Nipper. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by: brothers: Wayne Nipper, David Nipper and Jesse Calvin Nipper; and sisters: Sarah Lou Nipper Crudo, Linda Nipper Lunn and Rebecca Nipper Bowman. 

Mr. Nipper had worked as a paramedic for many years. He later worked as an over the road truck driver from which he had retired. He was a member of St. Stephen Orthodox Church in Hiram, GA and he was also a veteran of the US Army.

Survivors include: his wife, Marie Arandela Nipper of Nicholls, GA
; sons: Jonathan Patrick Nipper and Jason Kyler Nipper and his wife Jamie Lee Nations Nipper all of Douglas, GA; grandchildren: Korbyn Blaise Nipper, Kamdyn Chase Nipper and Koewyn Daniel Nipper all of Douglas, GA; brothers: James Rayford Nipper of Darien, GA, Phillip Nipper of Goldsboro, NC; sisters: Nannette Nipper Richey of Douglas, GA, Wilma Jean Nipper Taylor of Manning, SC, Lennie Gail Nipper Drinnen of Grantville, GA, JoAnn Elaine Nipper Parrish of Brooks, GA.; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 2 P.M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Father Andrew Moore officiating. The interment and graveside service will follow at Chatterton Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Huffstuttler officiating.

The family will receive friends, Friday evening, June 8, 2018, from 6 to 9 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
