Maryrae Lott Buckner, age 90, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Buckner was born on February 18, 1928, in Broxton, Georgia the daughter of the late Johnnie Lott and Mary Olive Duke Lott.
She worked as a secretary and sales person with Gibson McDonald Furniture Store for many years, was a homemaker, a member of Eastside Baptist Church and attended West Green Baptist Church.
Mrs. Buckner was preceded in death by: her husband, Tom Buckner; sister, Floyce Day; brothers: Johnnie Lott, Elisha Lott, Jerry Lott, George Lott, Benjamin Lott and Millard Lott.
Survivors include: daughters: Karen Pippin and husband Tom Hodson of Gray, GA and Teresa Ann “Terri” Winters and husband Warren of West Green, GA; grandchildren: Jennifer Morrell and husband Ron, Asa Pippin, Jr. and wife Kelly, Chris Pippin and Garrett Winters and wife Britney; great grandchildren: Abbie Rae Morrell, Ruby Claire Morrell, Montana Pippin, CC Smith Andrews and husband Tommy, Katie Smith, Kaylee Jane Pippin, Kyrie Jasa Pippin, Ella Kendall Winters and Madelyn Grace Winters; sisters: Daisy Smoak of Daleville, Alabama, Corine Glyzinski and husband Rod of Ashford, Washington, Gail Young of Fitzgerald, GA and Diane Stephens of Douglas, GA; brother, J.H. Lott and wife Vicki of Brunson, S.C.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at West Green Baptist Church where Rev. Kevin Bounds officiated. Interment followed at Broxton City Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
