Larry Benton, age 77, of Willacoochee, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Benton was born on June 23, 1940, in Coffee County, GA the son of the late Ed Benton and Ruby Kirkland Benton.
He was owner/operator of Benton’s Cabinet’s, was a veteran of the Georgia National Guard and was a member of Mora Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a member of the cemetery committee.
Survivors include: sons: Jesse Benton and wife Shelly of Willacoochee, GA and Larry Benton and wife Kim of Willacoochee, GA; grandchildren: Jessica Benton, Ashlyn Benton, Rachel Farley, Zane Benton and Josh Farley all of Willacoochee, GA and James Farley and wife Anna of Ambrose, GA; great-grandchildren: Shyann Farley, Anniston Farley and Bryce Farley; special friend, Barbara Rowell of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Mora Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Harper officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis Mixon, Randy Barlow, Gary Fields, Johnny Benton, James Farley and Ricky Benton.
