Augustus Emory Markette, Jr., age 85, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away on Monday July 2, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Markette was born on July 24, 1932 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Augustus Emory Markette Sr. and Susie Vickers Markette.

Mr. Markette was a Mobile Home Plant manager with Catalina Mobile Homes, was director for FEMA for the Mobile Home Industry, was a veteran in the United States Air Force as a Captain serving during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include: his wife, Hilda Mizell Markette of Ambrose, GA; son, Hilton Emory Markette and wife Henrietta of Waycross, GA; daughter, Heidi McNatt and husband William of Larkspen CO; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2017 at 11 A.M.  at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Justin Morris, Elder Ray Fussell and Tim Fussell officiating.
