Mr. Dallas Layne Howell, age 20, of Nicholls passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 27, 2018, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah following injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was born July 23, 1997, to Chris Howell and Melissa Howell Croft. He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandfather, Ricky Taylor; maternal great-grandfathers: Rev. Gene Minix and R. J. Lott; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Minix; paternal great-grandfathers: Clifton Howell and Willie E. Crosby.
Dallas was a 2016 graduate of Coffee High School where he was an active member of the drum line with the Coffee High Marching Band. He was employed with Mastec as an apprentice lineman.
Survivors include: his fiancee and the love of his life, Hannah Chaney of Nicholls, GA; son, Kason Laine Howell of Nicholls, GA; father, Chris Howell and his fiancée, April Reliford of Douglas, GA; mother and second dad: Melissa and Jesse Croft of Douglas, GA; siblings: Keegan Howell, Caleb Howell, Shelby Croft, Katie Croft, Alissa Hollinger, Jordan
Hollinger and Hope Hollinger all of Douglas, GA; paternal grandparents: Royal & Martha Howell of Douglas, GA.; maternal grandparents: Debbie and Keith Hampton of Jacksonville, GA; paternal great-grandmother, Flossie Maxwell of Albany, GA.; several uncles, aunts, extended family members and a host of friends.
The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon July 4, 2018, at 2 P.M at First Assembly of God where Rev. Javaris Wright and Rev. Trevin Simmons officiated.
Ricketson Funeral Home was is in charge of the arrangements.
