Mrs. Laken Nichole Meeler Taylor, age 26, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday morning, July 8, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA following a short illness. Laken was born January 11, 1992, to Fred Randall Meeler and Mari Emilie Hall Meeler. 

Laken was a native of Douglas but had moved to Columbus, GA. She was employed as a waitress at IHOP in Columbus.

Survivors include: her husband, Matthew Jones Taylor of Douglas, GA; sons: Bentley Eli Taylor of Douglas, GA., Cason Zane Taylor of Columbus, GA.; mother, Mari Emilie Hall Meeler of Douglas, GA.; father: Fred Randall Meeler of Columbus, GA.; half-brothers: Garrett Meeler and Zachery Meeler both of McRae, GA.; paternal grandmother, Linda Meeler of Columbus, GA.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 4 P.M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home where Rev. John Carver officiated. The interment followed at Rocky Pond Cemetery. 

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
