Robert Lee Bazemore, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Bazemore was born on May 2, 1938, in Pearson, Georgia the son of the late Eutice Bazemore and Miriam Elizabeth Smith Bazemore,
He worked as a farmer.
Survivors include: his wife, Helen Stone Bazemore of Douglas, GA; daughter, Denise Helen Bazemore of Douglas, Ga; son, Marcus Bazemore of Douglas, GA; brother, Walter Samuel Bazemore of Valdosta, GA; sisters: Velma Smith of Valdosta, GA and Betty Ann Bazemore of St. Claire, Michigan; grandchildren: Emma Lee Bazemore and Jasmin Bazemore; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Mr. Bazemore’s residence, 343 Bethel Church Rd. Douglas, GA where Rev. Floyd Musgrove, Rev. Floyd Tanner officiated with Denise Helen Bazemore giving the eulogy. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.
