Mrs. Elvina Delk Murray, age 86 of Douglas, GA passed away Sunday night, August 12, 2018, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Murray was born November 15, 1931, to the late Robert Fulton Delk and the late Kate Kirkland Delk. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Murray, one daughter, Eloise Murray and one brother, Robert Delk.

Mrs. Murray, a native of Clinch County, was a homemaker. She was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and the Training Union Director. She also sang in the church choir and was very involved in the church mission activities.

Survivors include: sons: Robert Murray of Broxton, GA., Carl Murray and his wife Sandy of Douglas, GA.; daughter, Mary Murray of Douglas, GA.; grandson, Josh Raczkowski of Orlando, FL.; great-grandchildren: Jackson Raczkowski and Kayla Raczkowski, both of Orlando, FL.; brother, Grover Lee Cowart of Jacksonville, FL.; sisters: Vera Thurman of Douglas, GA., Faye Royals of Adel, GA., Kathryn Cowart of Waycross, GA.,Vita Pearl Chessman of Ray City, GA., Evelyn Cox of Lakeland, GA., Doris Stone of Jasper, FL; several extended family members and a host of friends. 

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 2 P.M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home where Rev. Marshall Adcock and Rev. Chip Woodruff officiated. The interment followed in Satilla Memorial Gardens.

Ricketson Funeral Home was is in charge of the arrangements.
