P

et Therapy Club

4-H members who have friendly pets are invited to join our 4-H Pet Therapy Club which will take friendly pets to visit the residents at the local assisted living centers like Vista Park. This is a great community service project which allows the residents to pet friendly animals and visit with the students. Sign up today at the 4-H office. You must have a friendly pet to participate in this club!

Coca-Cola and Krispy Kreme Fundraiser

Summer camp this year will be at the Rock Eagle 4‑H Center. Campers will enjoy a week of fun activities like swimming in one of the two pools (one with a large slide), canoeing, a camp fire, enjoying the variety show, and a whole lot more! Summer camp usually costs around $370-$390.

To help reduce your camp cost, take advantage of the 4-H Coca-Cola Truckload Sale and Krispy Kreme Donut Sale. The sales begin now and end Friday, October 12. Please collect the money when you make the sale. All order forms and money are due on October 12 by 4 PM. The donuts and the drinks can be picked up at the 4-H office on Friday, November 2 from 2-4 PM.  For each case of drinks you sell, $3 will be applied to your camp cost. For each dozen of donuts you sell, $2 will be applied to your camp cost. The more you sell, the lower your camp fee will be. So have your parents pick up an order form from the 4-H office today.

Sunbelt Ag Expo

Coffee County Junior (7th and 8th grade) and Senior (9th through 12th grade) 4-H members have the opportunity to attend the 2018 Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition in Moultrie on Tuesday, October 16. The fee of $15 covers your admission to the expo, insurance and transportation. The registration deadline is Friday, October 5. A 4-H Medical Information Release Form and Code of Conduct form must be turned in at registration. Don’t miss out on this great agricultural learning experience.

Junior 4-H Conference

Let’s get together for a weekend at Rock Eagle 4-H Center where “4-H is Out of This World.” Junior 4-H members will have loads of fun with friends from all over the state of Georgia. They will meet new friends, do service projects, participate in workshops and an exhibit fair, have a dance, and see Clovers & Company perform. The conference will be held on November 3-4 at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center and will cost $85. A 4-H Medical Information Release Form and Code of Conduct form must be turned in at registration.

If you have questions about the Coffee County 4-H Club program, or questions around the farm or home, please feel free to contact the Coffee County Extension office at (912) 384-1402. Remember, we are YOUR local connection to the University of Georgia.
