Delma Denise Carver, age 51, of Nicholls, passed away on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Memorial Satilla Hospital, Waycross. Mrs. Carver was born on June 2, 1967 in Coffee County, the daughter to the late James Leon Carver and Mary Jane Davis Carver.

 

She was a homemaker and a member of Deaton Baptist Church. Mrs. Carver loved to ride her motorcycle and gave a lot her time and effort into helping raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She also loved all her grandchildren and especially loved being a Marine mom.

 

Mrs. Carver was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Jane Carver and two brothers, Jeffrey Carver and Kenny Davis.

 

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Cole of Nicholls; son, Gregory Carter Jr. (wife Rachel) of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Hayden Harrelson, Gregory Carter III, Fallyn Carter and Kane Carter; two brothers, Tommy Carver of Denton and Randall Carver of Denton; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services were held on Friday October 5, 2018 at 2 pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Van McCall officiating. Interment of her ashes will be at a later date at Carver’s Chapel.

 

Memorialization is by cremation.

 

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
